What would it look like to apply the Bible's Commandments to today's economic scene? Could it be done consistently in the modern world? Do the Commandments speak to today's issues? In this collection of essays, the author answers these questions. Using a straight forward exegetical style and a conversational tone, the author shows the Bible is as modern as today's political conversation. The Bible presents a picture of political freedom and a just society based on free use of property and an end to the economic oppression of the poor. The author includes a call to action for today's Christian to advocate a politico-economic positon consistent with Biblical principles. About The Author David Sassaman received a B.A. in American History from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.A. in History from the University of Delaware. He has done extensive informal study in the realm of Political-Economics throughout his adult life. Becoming a Christian as an adult reinforced his passion for justice and freedom. He attends a Brethren In Christ church, where he is currently involved in leadership ministries. David is recently retired from a career in information technology, and is now devoting his time to writing on subjects of intense interest to him.
