Brave New World is possibly Huxley's most widely read novel, and his influence is evident in much of the quality science fiction novel as well as the philosophical novels. It presents a world in which the State controls even the smallest detail of the lives of individuals, which it keeps in ignorance, the product of a purified brainwashing. New Visit to a Happy World is the work that Huxley wrote years later, analyzing his own novel and judging where he had been wrong and, above all, how he had been right when detecting social and political trends that threatened humanistic culture and society. Two texts that complement and enrich each other, as well as an invitation to reflect on the destiny of humanity.
