Brennan is the lead vocalist for the Grammy® Award wining Irish group Clannad. She was nominated for Best Irish Singer at the 2004 Music awards in Ireland.

Two Horizons is a metaphor for the past and the future, a place where music and memories can all take shape. The harp, symbolizing the peace and harmony that one longs for in this world, is integrated into every song.

Guest musicians include folk giant Martin Carthy, guitarist Robbie McIntosh (The Pretenders, Paul MacCartney), Anto Drennan (The Corrs) and members of Clannad and Iona.

Produced and several songs co-written by Ross Cullum (Tori Amos, Tears For Fears, Enya).

Enhanced CD features performance footage, photos and a prologue to the recording.

Two previous strong selling albums released to Christian retail under the name Maire Brennan (the new spelling of her first name more accurately reflects its pronunciation).

"I wanted to do something here that I have never attempted before. Tell a story. I was very lucky to have been able to work with Ross who allowed the time and space to explore ideas fully without having to rush on to the next thing. The story of the harp grew from a number of directions. First, I wanted to reflect an Irish theme. Second, I found myself writing more and more in the studio with my harp (an absolute pleasure having relied on mostly keyboards before). And lastly, I became fascinated with the way harp music is a strong cultural tradition in many parts of the world and always has a peaceful, transcendental beauty about it. This has been the most ambitious but satisfying piece of work I have ever done."
