In January 1884 Captain Annie OLeary was appointed to take charge of The Salvation Army ministry in Woodstock Ontario, a quiet aristocratic town situated on the Thames River. "To be Continued" tells the stories of ordinary people through those 125 years. Based on archival material and personal interviews the author has captured something of the early days of this evangelical denomination. The book has been written to both entertain and challenge by the stories of Gods grace demonstrated in the lives of common people dedicated to God and service to humanity. The Salvation Army founded in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth made its way to Canada in the great waves of immigrants who came from Great Britain. This book gives an overview of the early founding of this organization and its life in Canada.
