Where two or three theologians come together, dispute is inevitable. This statement is provoked by a look back at the history of Christianity: How many disputes have there been, including those that have led to condemnations and schisms! In the present, however, we rather speak of plurality, dialogue, and discourse; genuine theological disputes have become rare, although, of course, the topics of dispute do not abate. This volume examines the topic from exegetical, historical, systematic-theological, and practical perspectives. In addition, it includes further contributions from current research projects by members of the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Vienna.
