The World Ended on a Monday

I was alone Monday morning when nukes fell on America's coasts. The nuclear bombs caused an EMP knocking out America's power grid, including my small Oklahoma town. America was wholly unprepared for what hit us. Within hours of the dust settling, I must set off in an airplane held together with only prayers and duct tape. Risking my own life and the lives of my family; due to my less than licensed self to reunite my family. The small town I lived in my whole life going crazy, and with our local jail inmates on the loose, I'm going to have to make some of the trips on foot to find my kids. When the local townspeople notice a plane in the air, some will stop at nothing to possess the aircraft and the pilot flying it. My ragtag group of friends, family, and assorted animals will have to defend our small private airstrip from invaders or go down trying. I may be able to protect my family, but will I live with my actions later?When we start seeing large cargo planes and jet fly over our airspace, we think to begin to believe our military has regrouped and is coming to save us. The problem is, they are not our planes. Hundreds of Chinese planes are flying over the heartland of America.Soon, we will know who is responsible for the countless deaths and destruction. With our president and vice president assassinated almost simultaneously, a new man takes his place. Opening our home and country to foreign nations in the guise of rebuilding.
