Sylvester

A novel set in an urban landscape to depict the struggles of a young black boy growing into manhood in America. The story is centered on a dysfunctional family that has a strong mother figure, whose faith sustains them throughout many overwhelming circumstances. It is a story of struggle, faith, courage, failure and ultimately victory. The purpose of the narrative is to bring attention to the traditional view of what a family unit should achieve if each participant is committed and loves each other.
