Stepping on Stained Glass

Anne wanted to be more than director of Wesley Center for Abused Women and Children. Although she felt she was making a difference at the center, it was time for a change. She did not want to move away. She was so comfortable in her hometown. But, when Doctor Arthur Daley offered her the position of pastor at a church in Maine, she had to think it through. "MAINE?" thought Anne. She had never been there. Pictures she had seen of the coast and the mountains intrigued her, but to leave her home? After much thought and prayer, Anne took a deep breath and accepted the offer and began embarking on this new chapter of her life; a life that looked like all she had dreamed of, but was it? She had no idea of the crises she was about to encounter. The congregation had just lost their pastor, Rev. Walter Griswold. Would the congregation accept her? She had never served a church alone before. Was she capable of serving this congregation? The 'rocky' road ahead would tell the story.
