This guide helps youth process and apply what they learn and experience on mission trips.
The mission trip has become a youth ministry staple. Groups spend months preparing to travel across the country or around the world or to run a camp in their community. Too often, after youth have come home or cleaned up, they go on with their lives as though nothing happened.
Mission experiences should be transformative. This guide will help youth see how God was at work during their mission trip, how Christ was present in the people they worked with, and how they used their unique gifts in service of God and others. Through group discussion, individual reflection, Bible study, and journaling, youth will discover ways to apply what they have learned and to make mission a way of life. Each participant will have a book that he or she can write in and keep. Groups can work through this guide on their way home from a trip or over several weeks after they've returned.
