The names of the children in this book are of Hebrew origin, and all are found in the Bible.  Some of the names are also those of my children and grandchildren. What fun I had matching names with real-life characteristics with character names.

My own name, Rogene or Jeannie, is not biblical, but Jean has Hebrew roots and means "gift of God."  But no matter the origin, everyone's name is important to Jesus. Jesus calls us by our name (John 10:3, Isaiah 43:1) and loves us always-whatever our age or stage of life. That is wonderful, good news!
