Meant for Good

Not Enough is a power-packed biblical look at the core themes embedded within Jeremiah 29:12-14. No, that's not a typo. Everyone loves Jeremiah 29:11, and though I will write about verse 11, we often forget that the chapter doesn't end there. There's so much more to unpack in verses following that verse--truth that you need in your life today! How do I know? Because I have needed these truths in my own life. As a result, this is a book about following Jesus, dependence on God, and learning to hear His voice.

Here's what you should expect for this book. My big goal is that the reader who finishes this book is a shade different than the reader who started it. To be sure, this book will be fun to read, but fun and easy are different things. You will be changed.

Here is what we need to remember:

Stop counting yourself out, because Jesus never has. He invites you to stop thinking you can do everything on your own. He wants you to step up, offer what you have, and engage in this relationship with Him.

God calls you--the you who doesn't think you'll be able to do it all--to partner with Him. God reaches down to you and asks, 'Will you join me? I'm up to something really good, but you're going to have to depend on me.'

And finally, are you dependent upon God? Have you heard the old warning that when you ask God for patience, He'll give you an opportunity to exercise it? He gives us a chance to get up and put it into practice. The same idea applies to dependence. When we pray for it, we're often given the opportunity to practice what it means to be dependent on God.
