I hate interruptions!

"I sat watching football with my husband Steve. His team was on the one-yard line, first and goal. On the second play, the opposing team intercepted the ball. Steve threw up his hands in disgust. When I laughed, Steve sent a murderous look in my direction.

"What struck me as humorous? Life. We have it all figured out. We're certain of a touchdown. We taste sweet victory and then we're suddenly swamped with defeat. But it isn't always funny. Yet, just as the players in the football game, we can learn to adjust to the unexpected."

Sometimes we ant to scream, "Don't interrupt me while I'm living." Yet INTERRUPTIONS often rudely interrupt our plans and step on our future. If we could write out our life on a sheet of paper, we'd plan it perfectly. We'd decide when to meet "Mr.Right"." We'd plan our wedding for a sunny spring day. We'd honeymoon in Bermuda, and it wouldn't rain. We'd time the arrival of our first child at the most convenient time-when we had well-paying jobs, a large home with a fenced-in yard, and a minivan parked in the garage. Yet, despite our well thought-out plans, INTERRUPTION rears its ugly head.

The unexpected meets us at every corner in the form of unfair demands on our time, death, and suffering, .Interruptions mean a change in plans, perception, or performance. So when the unexpected interrupts your life, turn slowly, listen carefully, and speak passionately-God wears ears.
