What does it mean to be pastoral? Throughout his twenty-five years immersed in congregational life and the inner workings of the The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison learned a humbling thing or two about ministering to the people of God. Being a pastor always comes back to being a shepherd-loving the souls surrounding you and leading by conviction of God's Word of truth. This collection of pastoral letters penned by Rev. Harrison is a window into the heart of a man who cares deeply about the spread of the Gospel and the pastors and church members who do just that on a daily basis. A majority of these letters are taken from The Lutheran Witness articles featured in the "from the president" section, issues September 2010-April 2016.
