Two partners - Adam, a juggernaut, and Grace, a sword wielding Glamor queen (both more than they seem and seeking redemption for their pasts) pay the rent (and Grace's bar tab) by hunting monsters. But only the trouble makers. Untethered zombies, blood-lusted vampires, pain-maddened werewolves, ego-driven necromancers. The Once Dead and Spiral Touched that give the other law abiding monsters a bad name. When the pair decide (with a little push from Adam's wife) to help a woman and her kids get back on their feet, they run headlong into a scheme to neutralize Adam and make for the return of a mythical destroyer and ages-old enemy of Adam bent on undoing the existence of everything on the planet.
