Based on the Waverley Abbey Insight Day on Perfectionism led by Chris Ledger, this book will help both those working with others through issues relating to perfectionism and those who recognize perfectionist tendencies in themselves. Our desire for perfection can dominate our lives, especially when we project it onto other people and demand perfection from them, too. Having a perfectionist in the family might keep our kitchen work tops tidy but long-term it can cause tension, even conflict. But perfectionism is not all bad. The book helps us find a godly balance and most importantly offers an insight into what God says about striving for perfection, reminding us that we are each a work in progress and should aim for His best, not our own best. Real life illustrations are used, as well as insight and examples from scripture and each chapter ends with a suggested activity, a reflection and a prayer.
