Heaven is having a prayer meeting. And Jesus is leading it. He is heaven's intercessor, whoever lives, to pray. Serving as the high priest of heaven's tabernacle, Jesus is leading the premier prayer gathering for the redemption and emancipation of the earth in heaven. The book of Revelation describes the intensifying prayer meeting. Angels come and go. The heavenly altar speaks. Cherubim offer praise. Elders with incense, the prayers of the saints, see it offered and burned on the altar and cosmic energy discharged. God is inviting the church on the earth to join heaven's prayer meeting. In prayer here, with Jesus praying there, the Spirit-enabled connection fuels our missional purpose, frees divine resources, and transforms us as missional agents.
