Are Christians free to declare that their beliefs are true, and that other views are not, in a pluralistic society where 'tolerance' is such an accepted norm? In the New Testament, do the Synoptic Gospels and John, or the Synoptic Gospels and Paul, or indeed Paul and Jesus, have such mutually exclusive views that they are not coherent in diversity, but actually divergent?
These questions are subjected to penetrating, rigorous analysis in essays from the Ninth Oak Hill Annual School of Theology.
