In God Up Close, youth workers and students will experience twelve unexpected meetings people had with God in the Bible. The student guide presents the stories of Jacob, Abraham, Daniel, Ezekiel, Saul, Peter, Mary, and more, through dramatic retellings of some of their significant face-to-face moments with God. Teens will be challenged to explore the deeper meaning of these encounters and how they relate to their own lives. The leader’s guide offers lessons, worship services, scripts, and other ideas to help teens see these servants of God not as characters in a story, but as living, breathing examples of what happens when you come face-to-face with your creator. As youth leaders walk teens through these stories, they’ll discover Chay Elohim—God in the extreme.
