Freedom is an ideal that everyone aspires to but fewer truly experience. It's also understood differently by different people and different cultures. What does the Bible mean when it says that we're free? After all, it is "for freedom" that Christ set us free. Over six sessions, participants will walk verse by verse through the book of Galatians and discover the kind of freedom that Jesus offers is not the absence of constraint, license, or personal autonomy. It's a deeper and more liberating freedom. It's freedom from the slavery of sin, shame, and the law. It's the power that unites us to Christ and allows us to serve others in love. Galatians gives us the settled confidence that comes from knowing we are adopted children of the King of the Universe. It's what all the world wants that Jesus promised and is giving us daily in the gospel. (6 Sessions)
