Jacob's Ladder is a new series developed for youth ages 10-15 that will bring the Old Testament alive. The clever storyline surrounds a group of young teenagers, “the teenpack,” who come across an old lighthouse. A mysterious character called Rafael, the lighthouse keeper, is able to transport members of the teenpack back in time. There they become involved in the Biblical characters’ lives and stories as we see them unfold. This approach faithfully retells the Bible stories while presenting them in a fascinating way for today’s youth. Though geared for youth, these stories provide inspiring, character-building lessons which are appropriate for people of all ages. Each episode is 30 minutes in length. *Episode 1*: _Gideon, The Reluctant Hero_ - Gideon, a farmer's son, is visited by an angel, who tells him to oppose the idol worship that goes on in the village. Gideon should also defend his people against attacks by the Midianites. Gideon destroys the idol statue and so provokes the wrath of Molokee, the local idol priestess. She confronts the reluctant hero, but Gideon's father and sister come to his defense. Daniel, from the 'teenpack,' is beamed into the story by Rafael. In this episode, Daniel is the boy next door, Gideon's sidekick. At the end of the episode, the Midianites attack the farm and the village again, but this time Gideon and his people are ready to fight back. *Episode 2*: _Gideon, Warrior By Faith_ - Gideon has become a local hero after fighting off a Midianite attack on his village. However, the Midianites send a large army into Canaan to invade the land of the Hebrews. Gideon calls all Hebrew farmers together to form an army. Gideon's brother and sister travel ahead to the place where the Hebrews are gathering. Meanwhile Gideon seeks heaven's advice as he confronts his fears and doubts. Eventually Gideon is given God's assurance that the Hebrews will have victory, but he still doesn't know how. When Gideon arrives at the Hebrew army camp, an angel appears to him again to confirm that victory will be given to them. The angel also tells Gideon to send most of his men home, which seems a crazy thing to do....
