Parent ministry is a huge part of student ministry. Churches must help parents grow in their relationship with the Lord and help their kids grow in the Lord. The second doesn't happen without the first.

Parent ministry is an issue where churches desperately need help. Parents need help. Student ministries need help. We want to help Student Pastors know how to lead and pastor parents. To do that we need to know the state of discipleship in the home, current practices, and the current state of parent ministry.

Ultimately, parents want connection with their kids and obedience from their kids. When one of those two things feels absent, they push into obedience. The gospel message can mend and restore.

Define the Relationship: Growing a Parent Ministry that Brings Families and Churches Together takes a comprehensive look at how churches can implement a parent ministry strategy that helps both parents and students grow in their relationship with the Lord.

This book will...

  • Help pastors cast a vision for parents about what it means to disciple kids and how to actually get there.
  • Help equip youth pastors who don't have kids/teens of their own.
  • Give church leaders a new way to think about parent ministry and a new philosophy of parent ministry.
  • Provide churches a framework/strategy how to minister to the home.
