The Code of Practice offers general guidance on how formal complaints of misconduct against clergy of the Church of England are made and determined under the Clergy Discipline Measure 2003. It explains:the grounds for making formal complaints; how to make them; who can make them.The Code of Practice shows the proper procedures for considering complaints, and it describes the various options which may be pursued if a complaint proves to be well-founded. It has been approved by the General Synod.
