Bind Up the Testimony

Bind Up the Testimony is a collection of essays from a colloquium held at Wheaton College in 2013. It brings together a variety of evangelical responses to the differing conclusions of mainstream and conservative scholars regarding the authorship and dating of the book of Isaiah.

Some claim that multiple authors wrote the Book of Isaiah, while others believe an 8th-century B.C. Judean prophet penned the entire work. Offering a more nuanced view, a diverse group of evangelical scholars suggests that careful attention to the complex history of the text need not be a hindrance in accepting it as divinely inspired Scripture.
