No matter where she goes, church secretary Cindy Preston always seems to end up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Cindy travels to Hawaii over Memorial Day weekend for her long-planned vacation. While there she discovers the body of a restaurant owner who has been murdered. Soon Cindy finds herself swept up in events beyond her understanding and is kidnapped by people who are convinced that she knows more about the murder than she's telling. When she fails to return home, Jeremiah goes looking for her. It will take all his skill to find her and all her courage to stay alive.
