Who's Gonna Run the Truck Stop in Tuba City When I'm Gone? takes place in a dusty northern Arizona town on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The old truck stop and the café survive four owners.
After serving in World War II, Nehemiah "Knee High' Yazzie, a Marine code talker, and his buddy, Lee 'Cowboy' Armstrong build the Tuba City Truck Stop and Café.

After them, the Truck Stop and Café was turned over to a slightly henpecked Hank and a feisty red-headed Crystal, whose fights were legendary to everyone on the reservation and up and down the highway.

After years of threatening Crystal, Hank finally had enough of her guff and walked out on Crystal and the Truck Stop. 

Then enter Peyton Andrew Lang and Catherine Grace Dawson, a young couple eager to do life on their own terms. After twenty years, Andy declares that the Tuba City Truck Stop is cursed when his and Catherine's relationship falls apart. 

Just in time for the new millennium Jay Nez, a highly educated and intelligent entrepreneur, and his wife, Charolette, with the help of God, breathe life back into the old Truck Stop.
