The journey of breakthrough is often unclear, and experiences of loss is sometimes constant. Transition from old habits to current is simplified to better explain decision-making and actions. Rejection seemed to be the norm and immediate needs not being met led to distrust within relationships. Love was essential for healing and elevation. The literature provides the author's journey of seeking love and truth despite bondage to inspire individuals and families to do the same. Tiara J is a 27 year old, Shreveport, LA resident that experienced many trials like many others. She aspires to impart light into individuals and families in a pragmatic and strategic manner for resiliency. Tiara J is currently a single parent and a recent graduate from Our Lady of the Lake University as a Master of Social Work professional, beating the odds of social and economic injustices.
