Each time I wrote a new poem, I felt like I had just seen a new bud emerge in a flower garden and I was smelling the fragrance of flowers. Each poem touched me in a different way. For every situation I got a poem out of it since I no longer have to have an answer or try to defend myself against the attackers, because the war is not mine to fight anymore. Instead of worrying about who likes me or what did I do to start such vicious attacks on me, when I got home from a busy day, I poured out my heart in my note book with my pen. Most of the time I feel like someone is dictating to me while I am writing. Writing poems is one of the things I enjoy immensely. I also love reading, drawing, drafting, and house painting to name a few. As a young girl growing up in the suburban part of the West Indies, I didn't have a lot of friends, so I spent much of my time by myself. I was always writing or reading. I talked to God a lot, but I didn't realize how powerful God was in my life in the early years, nor did I understand the gift I had been given. My mother was nice and encouraging, she was always talking in rhymes. I hope that these poems will bless everyone that reads them even more than they blessed me. And to God be the glory of this possible moment.
