Humans have the inherent need to belong. Young Joshua, a four-year-old boy, is set to be moved to his second foster family home. He has lived with Nanny and Pops for most of his early years and only visited is biological family for minimal periods of time.
Joshua's genuine and authentic personality is fresh and honest. Sara and Mac, Joshua's second foster mom and dad, must earnestly find loving ways of fostering a sense of belonging during Joshua's time with them.
